Crematorion Zorgvlied completed and officially opened!
Crematorion Zorgvlied Amsterdam is recently completed. It was officially opened on April the 14th by alderman Peter Bot and followed by a beautiful ceremony and words of praise by for our design by Arpad Nesvadba.
The historic cemetery, created in the 19th century by landscape architect Zocher, wants to be an innovative player in Amsterdam. The new Crematorion therefore aims to meet the needs of various user groups with diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Unlike a regular crematorium, the Crematorion focusses on the actual burning of the body and the spiritual experiences, connected with this event. GROUP A’s unconventional design perfectly fits these spiritual experiences.
