Dr. Ir. Michael Peeters MRe of the TU-Delft has the talent to unravel the complexities of EU Taxonomy in a very comprehensive and compelling manner. He will give a crash course into what it all means, how different mechanisms relate to each other and what they mean for specific examples in urban and project development. After the lecture, he will talk to panelists and the public about what this means in practical terms for the investor, developer and municipality.

SPEAKERS

Dr. Ir. Michaël Peeters MRe (TU-Delft) is an assistant professor and researcher specializing in sustainable finance and smart building technologies, focusing on the link towards valuation. With a PhD in Engineering Management from the University of Antwerp and an engineering background in micro-electronics, his academic focus lies at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and finance. He is researching Sustainable finance, sustainability reporting, and links with AI, IoT, and WEB3 applications. Michaël is also experienced in econophysics and the “As A Service” business model’s impact on real estate investments.
