Ferro Offices nominated for RAP 2026

Proud of the nomination of Ferro Offices for the Rotterdam Architecture Prize 2026!

In the Merwe-Vierhavens area (M4H), a former office building from 1969 has been transformed into a future-proof workspace for the innovators of the port. This extensive transformation highlights how adaptive reuse can contribute to both sustainability and strong architectural quality.

By preserving the existing structural frame, approximately 75% less CO₂ was emitted compared to new construction. At the same time, the building received a completely new identity, featuring a central atrium, terraces, and bio-based façade materials. The result: an inspiring place where innovation, collaboration, and the energy transition come together.

With this radical renovation, Ferro Offices serves as a model for the future of the Rotterdam Makers District and the city as a whole.

In addition to the jury prize, there is also a Public Award. Which project deserves to win in your opinion?
