Metro Oostlijn wins 2ACAA 2019 Award
What an honor! The station renovation Metro Oostlijn has won a 2A Continental Architectural Award 2019. The prize is awarded annually by the international architecture magazine 2A (Architecture & Art). This is the fourth time that the Oostlijn has been awarded, after the iF Design Award, the FRAME Award 2019 and the NRP Gulden Feniks.
For the 2ACAA 2019, 550 projects from 54 countries were submitted, of which 234 had made it to the finals. De Oostlijn is winner in the Old and New category, which focuses at projects in the field of reuse, renovation, restoration and regeneration.
The festive award ceremony took place on October 18, at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Besides a presentation at the university by Maarten van Bremen, the project will also be published in 2A’s quarterly magazine.
