Quooker’s hempcrete façades under construction!
At the construction site of Quooker’s new logistics centre, work has started on the hempcrete façades. These are being tamped on-site by YOMABOUW — a remarkable and artisanal process that locks CO₂ directly into the building.
The use of hempcrete results in approximately 20,000 kg of CO₂ being stored in the façades!
That’s equivalent to driving around the world more than 4 times in a petrol car, or 10 round-trip flights between Amsterdam and New York per passenger!
