Seven building blocks together form WC Terwijde, combining retail and residential. The building blocks designed by three different architects form a recognizable whole, through the use of the same brick. GROUP A has designed three of the building blocks within WC Terwijde.
Block H near the train station consists of a plinth of shops with three floors of apartments. Block FI similarly consists of a shopping plinth with three layers of apartments. Both blocks possess a robust plinth with a cantilevered upper part. Block FII has been designed as a sep-arate shopping pavilion. Together with the historic farm it forms an exception in the urban plan. The specially shaped roof of the pavilion transforms the block into an all sided object on the small square.
